Here is some news about two ongoing job searches, one in Medieval or Early Modern literature and culture at Rutgers University and the other in Medieval European History (although open to candidates working on ‘any facet of European society’ in the Middle Ages) at Northwestern University. The Department of English at Rutgers University, New Brunswick (USA), invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in Medieval or Early Modern literature and culture. We welcome applications from scholars working across the entire range of the medieval and early modern periods, from Old and Middle English to the late seventeenth century, and from a variety of methodologies, including work that embraces cross-cultural or global perspectives as well as trans- and circum-Atlantic writing.

The Department of History at Northwestern University is running a search this year for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Medieval European History. The position is open to candidates whose research engages any facet of European society from roughly 800-1500 CE.
